PPR Reunites Senior Dog and Owner

From The Jamestown Sun... Shortly after she moved from Nevada to Bismarck in June, Anita Newgard found she was missing something important.

Confused by her new surroundings, Heidi, Newgard’s 15-year-old one-eyed border collie mix, had wandered off into the woods and gotten lost on June 13.

“She only has one eye, and is hard of hearing, so she took off trying to find out where home was, and we couldn’t find her,” Newgard said.

Thank You, Modern Woodmen!!

Prairie Paws Rescue would like to say a special thanks to John Saul of Modern Woodmen. John made a special and much needed donation to our organization. How You Can Help

If you would like to help an animal in the care of Prairie Paws Rescue, please Volunteers with rescued puppiescontact us. You don't have to be a foster home to help. You can help my spreading the word about our group of rescuers, provide transportation, take animals to vet appointments, collect items for the pets like blankets, toys, puppy & kitten chow, pet carriers, dog and cat beds, and high-quality food for proper nutrition. Also, cash donations are greatly appreciated to help with medical expenses like updated shots, wormer, and spaying and neutering costs. We want to ensure that the animals have a healthy start on a new life. Volunteers are welcome!

Meet Gemma!

Hi, I'm Gemma! I am a female kitten that came into Prairie Paws, and I was in need of a little extra TLC. I had a bad upper respiratory infection, crusty eyes, and ear mites :(. Luckily I'm getting better, and maybe you can help me feel better too! I was born around July 25th, 2016, and right now I live with my foster mommy with other dogs and cats. I am very playful and very sociable! I even dressed up as a bumble bee for Halloween this year!
